I Pastored Praise Baptist Church in Kalamazoo Michigan for twenty five years from March 1993 to March of 2018. My wife Shirley did most of the directing of Alpha & Omega Ministries for the first twenty of those years until she went to be with the Lord in 2013.(the picture is of our 50th wedding anniversary June 1 2008, the other picture is 50 years before June 1 1957.) Alpha and Omega was a residential ministry for addicts and alcohalics to help them recover from addiction through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The residents were exposed to ten Bible studies a week plus Sunday School and Worship on Sundays. We didn't win them all; but a great majority left better than they came. Several became Pastors and one a church planter in the Chicago area. 

     When I prepared a sermon for Sunday, I wrote a short paragraph that summarized the sermon and placed it in the Bulletin for that Sunday The purpose was to offer an opportunity for later meditation and also to give a reminder of what was heard on that Sunday. If they happened to miss that Sunday, they wouldn't be left with nothing.
