Colossians 2:6-12 "Just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him...", you'll notice that it doesn't stop at "...received Christ Jesus.", but it adds, "as Lord". That means that He is to have more than just input into your life, it means that He calls the plays. He is, so to say, the C.E.O. of your life. Are there any areas that are excluded from His Lordship? - Not really. Have you ever thought that maybe it's about time to turn over our life's "car keys" to Him and let Him do the driving? One good way to begin is to read God's Word. As you read things that make you feel guilty, pray about it. Begin doing what the Holy Spirit prompts you to do. Maybe a habit needs to go. Maybe relationships need to be mended. If you're listening, you'll know what He's trying to say. Verse 6 goes on to say that we need to continue to live in this way, rooted and built up in Him. Send your roots deep into the "Rock" (Christ) and get the spiritual moisture flowing and let Him do the building in your life, block by block. The last part of the verse calls for an attitude check. Let your attitude be one of overflowing thankfulness. Watch out for people with a "good" line. It is much too easy to get caught up with "people" ideas. The bottom line needs to be Christ!!!
