Living by the Spirit

Galatians 5:16-26 Verse 16 says, "... live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Do you have trouble with temptation and sin in your life? Paul goes on in the next few verses to say that our natural desires and the spirit's desires are contrary to one another they are in conflict, they are at war. Trying to do good things is not walking in the Spirit. You'll only get tired and eventually faint. Walking in the Spirit is first of all knowing Jesus Christ as personal Savoir and Lord. After that, it is submitting our will and the control of our lives to the desires and moving of His Holy Spirit. Total submission to His Spirit is the only way we can ever get victory over the sins and addictions in our lives. Let's stop looking for other answers because He is the only answer. Galatians 5:24 f "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit let us keep in step with the Spirit." On this side of the grave, reckoning something dead is a continuous process. Flesh and its works do not want to stay dead, they'll try to pop up at the times when we are at our weakest. But, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
