Not Everyone
Matt 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is In heaven.' It is interesting to see how we usually take seriously the instructions from the various governing authorities that rule over us. We obey tax laws and traffic laws we pay our various bills etc. etc. But for some reason many feel that God's laws are somehow optional. That He can be blown off when it's not convenient to obey. We are quick to say He is our Lord, but do we really know what we are saying when we call Him Lord. If He is our Lord than we are his servants and a wise servant does not argue with his Lord. Do we feel that just because God doesn't appear to be responding to our disobedience, that He didn't notice or doesn't care? To call Him Lord and then do our own thing anyway is like the Roman soldiers that dressed Jesus in a purple robe, bowed down to Him and then spit on Him. Tragic indeed will it be to hear the words 'I never knew you!" as we stand on the threshold of eternity.
