While We Wait

Titus 2:11-14. What do you do while you wait? Have you ever waited in a doctor' s office for long time or in line at D.S.S. or for a seat in a restaurant? Have you ever wished you'd brought along a good book or your sewing etc.? Have you ever gotten almost to the end of your wait and remembered that you had forgotten to bring your money or some important form or piece of ID.? What do you do? It's too late to go get it without losing your appointment or place in line. We're waiting for something far more important - Jesus' return. Many people do not realize that there is anything to wait for. They don't know about Jesus at all let alone that He is coming back for His own. To these they are pursuing careers, supporting families, enjoying life struggling with poverty, "killing time", etc. They don't have or choose not to have a clue that there is anything more to life than what they see right here and now. One of the very important things that we as children of God need to be doing while we wait is to make sure that others know that there is more to life than making a living, that there is a God that we are accountable to and that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. This Savior, Jesus Christ has made us ready and acceptable to God. Most important He is coming back to take us home. What are you doing while you wait?
