Children Have Special Place in Jesus' Heart

Children had and still have a very special place in Jesus' heart. To offend one or cause him to sin is taken very seriously by God. Even to the point of saying that it would be better to by thrown into the sea with a mill stone weight. In another place he said it would be better if that person had never been born. It makes one shudder regarding the incidence of child abuse and neglect. In that same category. I believe, fall brand new Christians. those that haven't gotten their spiritual legs strengthened yet. They don't have a good grasp of the Word yet. Are we perhaps guilty of neglect and abuse when we don't disciple, or we live a bad example before them? Babies and young Christians will eat up whatever data is fed to them, because they are hungry for knowledge. We need to make sure they get the right kind of input. Not only is a child so impressionable, but if they will come to Christ at all, that will be the time. They have a whole life ahead to give to the Lord. The kind of faith that a child has is the model Jesus uses to show the kind of faith he desires of all “a give it all you got” kind of faith. Jesus said in Mark 9:37 "whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me and the Father.” When did you last lead one to Jesus?
