THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW

Matthew 5:13-16 Do your friends outside of the Church family know about your relationship to Jesus? Do you have a relationship with Him? or do you tell what ever group you’re with what you think they want to hear? If you do have this relationship with Christ and people are aware of it, do you go the next step and actively attempt to share your faith so that that friend or acquaintance might experience the salvation that you enjoy? The prevailing incentive is not to follow Christ but be antagonistic to the Gospel. If we truly believe that heaven and hell and the soon coming of Christ are realities, then we must be about our Father's business. Matthew 5:16 tells us to,"...let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and praise your Father in heaven." It also tells us that "we are the light of the World. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden." Some may remember the old kerosene lamps; when the wicks burned down the flame would become sooty and blacken the inside of the chimney. When the wick was trimmed, and the chimney was cleaned the light would again shine brightly. Do the wick and chimney of your life need to be trimmed? The world needs to know. Putting it more personally your and my friends need to know.
