Let Us Live Up to What We Have Already Attained

Phil. 3:12ff talks about the Apostle Paul pressing toward the mark that Christ called him to. It seems like intellectually we do pretty well at making progress. It's getting our hands and feet involved that seems to give us the most difficulty Living up to what we've already attained... Most of the time we don't begin to live up to what we know we should be doing. It is not the quantity of things we do but the choices we make. Also involved in "living up to..." is in the realm of the supernatural, that is, the promises of God. We know about them and sometimes talk about them, but for the most part don't have a clue as to how to obtain them. It makes one wonder, has God changed? Are the promises no longer in effect? How about salvation, are we only fooling ourselves? We would quickly say no, because there is too much evidence to the contrary. But we don't put his kingdom first. We really don't expect God to answer. We don't walk in holiness as the article across the page talks about. With most of the promises there is an "if" attached. Try abiding by the conditions, see if you don't begin to see things happen.
